As part of the project promoted by the COTEC Foundation and by GITA-Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency, SPICI is hosting the two young Georgian innovators, Irina Tsagareishvili and Tsotne Kalichava, winners of the Best Innovator Award of #Georgia “STEM Study Visit to Italy “.

Among the various activities in which the two innovators participate, there is the deepening of the innovative ecosystem of the Campania Region and in particular the discovery of the engineering laboratories of the Federico II University of Naples.

Irina and Tostne visited the PRISMA Lab (Industrial and Service Robotics, Mechatronics and Automation Projects) of DIETI (Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies), whose activities and research were presented by Gianmarco Paduano, mechatronics engineer who showed us the different prototypes they are working on in the robotic field, to understand how they work also with support videos and the visit at the High Voltage room “G. Savastano ”, a unique structure of its kind.

After that, at the IDEAS LAB (Interactive DEdesign And Simulation), in the Department of Industrial Engineering, involved in various design and experimentation works in collaboration with the research institute Fraunhofer IWU in Chemnitz, the young innovators observed the tools and laboratory activities, videos and prototypes, created through parametric 3D CAD modeling, computer graphics techniques, virtual reality, numerical simulation and others, under the guidance of Prof. Statinslao Grazioso, Prof. Pierluigi Rippa, Prof. Antonio Lanzotti and the team of researchers and PhD students.
