International cooperation continues. As a follow-up activity of the Zhongguancun Forum, the Changsha Roadshow and Matchmaking Meeting was held on November 13 and was promoted by the Changsha Science & Technology Bureau and coordinated by SPICI, the China Science and Technology Exchange Center, and the International Technology Transfer Network (ITTN).

Twelve startups from eight countries (United States, Canada, Germany, Italy, Russia, Israel, Japan and the United-Kingdom) presented their technologies to investors, companies and institutions of the Chinese municipality of Changsha in the presence of Vice Mayor Qiu Jixing.

Four Italian startups participated: Rdots which promotes the digitalization and conservation of cultural heritage, eProInn which develops a system for the conversion of conventional cars into hybrid-solar vehicles, D-Orbit which facilitates the launch of satellites into space, and Vaxxit which specializes in the development of vaccines for diseases such as AIDS.

Various experts and government representatives held a speech including:

  • Zhang Hongyi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Changsha Municipal Party Committee and Director of Organization;
  • Li Hai, Director of Shenzhen Center for International Exchange of Personnel;
  • Yan Xiaohong, Director of Network and Platform Division, China, Science and Technology Exchange Center;
  • Guo Gong, Director of Changsha Science and Technology Bureau.
