Are you an SME, a startup, a spinoff, or a research group interested in the Chinese market? Participate in the 2024 edition of the Zhongguancun (ZGC) Forum – 100 Best Innovative Technologies for International Cooperation, which will be held in Beijing at the end of April. This year, SPICI and ITTN collaborate again to select the most innovative SMEs, startups, spinoffs, and research groups to promote at the Forum.

What is the Zhongguancun (ZGC) Forum?

The ZGC Forum is one of the world’s most prestigious events in Science, Technology, and Innovation, and it is the most significant in China. The ZGC Forum’s 100 Best Innovation Technologies for International Cooperation initiative aims to award and promote internationally the 100 innovative technologies with the greatest potential for commercialization and internationalization.

The program, promoted by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), brings together entrepreneurs, academics, political leaders, and innovators from around the world each year. The goal is to provide a platform that promotes scientific and technological collaboration, the exchange of knowledge and best practices, the presentation of the latest global innovations, and the creation of new business opportunities.

Benefits of participating in the ZGC Forum

The selected companies will have the opportunity to:

  • Present to a qualified audience of Chinese and international experts.
  • Expand their international contact network.
  • Opportunities for investment and industrialization.
  • Extensive media coverage in China.
  • Incubation opportunities.
  • Free participation for innovative tech teams/companies, with the possibility of flying to China for those recognized as “projects of excellence”.

In the case of being recognized as a “project of excellence,” companies will be invited to present in person in Beijing on April 27, 2024, and a financial contribution for travel expenses + accommodation coverage will be provided.

In the 2023 edition, nearly 3000 companies applied, and almost 600 matchmaking meetings between companies were held. Companies such as Astrazeneca, Haier, Tencent, and Baidu and some of the most important Chinese investors will participate in the event.
