On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, the United States Consul General in Naples, Tracy Roberts-Pounds, visited the new headquarters of SPICI Srl. The meeting took place at the Fabbrica Italiana dell’Innovazione, the recently established technological hub in Naples located in San Giovanni a Teduccio, at Via Ponte dei Granili 24, in the area that used to house the Historical Archive of Enel.

Consul General Tracy Roberts-Pounds was welcomed by Vincenzo Lipardi and Amedeo Manzo, President and Vice President of SPICI Srl, respectively, who accompanied her on a tour of the new Technological Hub’s premises in the San Giovanni a Teduccio district of Naples.

One of the first stops was the construction site of the International Incubator, where she was welcomed by the President of Fabbrica Italiana dell’Innovazione, Fabrizio Monticelli, Mariangela Contursi, General Manager of SPICI, and a group of members from Fabbrica Italiana, including Giovanni Lombardi, President of Tecno, Antonio Romano, President of CNS Tech, Francesco Castagna, CEO of Agilae, and Massimo Iaccarino, CEO of EB Mediterranea Srl.

The second stop was dedicated to the Co-working Space of the technological hub and to the 11 startups selected through the Incubation Program of the Casa delle Tecnologie Emergenti di Napoli, a project funded by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy and promoted by the City of Naples. The Incubation Program is managed by SPICI with the support of Fabbrica Italiana dell’Innovazione.

Following the visit, there was a moment of discussion with the Consul which concluded with a symbolic exchange of gifts. In particular, Consul Tracy Roberts-Pounds was presented with a work by the artist Mario Amura, on display from December 14, 2023, to April 1, 2024, with “Napoli Explosion” at the Cellaio in the Real Bosco di Capodimonte.
