Two Georgian innovators, scholarship winners, will carry out – for three months – their experience at Spici srl – Society for innovation, cooperation and internationalization – based in the Technological Pole in San Giovanni a Teduccio.


The announcement of the winners will take place on Monday 16 May, during the new edition of the National Award for the best Georgian innovator “STEM Study Visit to Italy“, in Tbilisi at Georgia’s Innovation Agency – Gita in font of the President of the agency Avtandil Kastadze, the Ambassador of Italy Enrico in Georgia Valvo, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Irakli Nadareishvili.


The event will be attended by a delegation of innovators from Southern Italy, institutions, academia and businesses. Among them the Assessor for Innovation and Startup of the Campania Region, Valeria Fascione, Prof. Giorgio Ventre, President Spici Vincenzo Lipardi. The President of the Cotec foundation, prof. Luigi Nicolais.


After the awards ceremony, the innovation hubs will present their technological development strategies and will participate to an interactive session between innovators “InnovItaly in Georgia” with the aim of establishing partnerships and joint projects. An important event during which Spici will explore the whole territory searching possible interactions with local realities.


The initiative is part of the agreement between the Cotec Foundation and the Italian Embassy in Tbilisi with the participation of Materias, which has developed a collaboration with the Agency for Innovation and Technology of Georgia to intensify bilateral relations between the two countries in the scientific-technological field.
