The panel which aims to promote scientific, technological and cultural cooperation between Iran and Italy will be held on 17 December. In particular, the opportunities for interaction and technology transfer between universities, incubators, research centers, and science and technology parks of the two countries will be discussed.

The workshop is promoted by the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MRST) and coordinated by SPICI – Company for Innovation, Cooperation and Internationalization on the Italian side. It is part of the Iranian Research and Technology Week, the largest Iranian event on scientific cooperation.

The guest speakers will include Prof. Hossein Salar Amoli, Iran’s Acting Minister for International Scientific Cooperation; Dr. Abdolsadeh Neisy, Director of MSRT Office Supporting Research & Technology; H.E Giuseppe Perrone, Italy’s Ambassador to Iran; H.E Hamid Bayat, Iran’s Ambassador to Italy; Dr. Vincenzo Lipardi, Presidente di SPICI; Prof. Giorgio Ventre, Director of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Naples Federico II; Prof. Carlo Cereti, Former Cultural Attaché at the Italian Embassy in Tehran; e Dr. Mohammad R. Movahhedy, Vice President for Research and Technology, Sharif University of Technology.

The Embassy of Italy in Tehran has been invited.
